Deccan plateau · South India
Before rice arrived and rewrote the Indian plate, these millets were the everyday grain — grown on dryland farms with almost no water, resilient to drought, packed with fibre and minerals. We source ours directly from Deccan farmers who never stopped growing them. Unpolished, whole, and packaged in a set so you can rotate them through the week the way an old kitchen did.
